Tadoba
Resort Architects
at Tadoba.
Tadoba is the reserve we know best, and the one that gave us Jungle Homes — planned on the Maharashtrian wada, the inward-facing courtyard house of this region, and the building of ours that has travelled furthest.
Radisson Jungle Homes completed in 2025, planned on the Maharashtrian wada — the inward-facing courtyard house of this region. Sterling Holiday Resorts followed at Chimur, and a third, for Gajanan Associates, was drawn for 2027.
Tadoba came late in the wildlife record. The experience behind it is not new: the first of these was drawn in 1997.

Chandrapur, the district town, carries a named hotel from 2012. The wider wildlife record reaches Pench, Kanha and Bor as well.

One Studio,
Every Discipline.
A forest site rewards a single office. Power, water, sewage and fire fighting are all resolved on the plot, by the same people drawing the building — one model, one team, and no coordination meeting held after the concrete is poured.

Questions About Tadoba.
Can you build inside the Tadoba buffer zone?
The forest department decides what is permitted on a given plot, not the architect. What a practice brings is knowing what they are likely to permit before you commission drawings — which is the difference between one submission and three.
How long does a resort at Tadoba take?
Longer than a city hotel of the same size, and for a reason unrelated to design: the monsoon closes the approach roads and with them the site. Work happens between October and June, so the programme is written around weather.
What have you built at Tadoba?
Resorts on this landscape for Radisson, Sterling and Gajanan Associates, with Radisson Jungle Homes completed in 2025. The wildlife work began at Kanha in 1997.
Does a resort here need its own power and water?
Effectively yes. Mains power fails and there is no municipal water or sewer, so supply, storage, treatment and a fire-fighting reserve are all designed into the building. Those systems are drawn in-house alongside it.
Tell Us About
the Tadoba Site.
Send the survey and the buffer-zone classification. What the forest department permits sets the footprint, and that is the first thing worth knowing about any plot out here.
