An immersive retreat in the Pench wilderness. The plan works with the site rather than against it, threading open space and water through the property to keep the atmosphere quiet.
Meandering water channels connect individual cottages and villas, each positioned for privacy and an uninterrupted view out.
Guest circulation never crosses service circulation.
Keeping guest circulation clear of service circulation is easy to state and hard to plan on a dispersed site. Housekeeping, food and waste have to reach every cottage without once appearing on the path a guest walks, which sets where the back-of-house spine can run before any cottage is placed.
Water threaded through a plan cools the air moving over it and separates one cottage from the next without a wall — which is how privacy gets made on an open site. Accord Premier had built with us at Chhindwara in 2014 before this.
